"Almond Blossom" by Gaetan Caron

This photograph of an almond blossom is by contemporary Bay Area artist, Gaetan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. It is part of a fine art photography documentation of his communion with the forests, meadows, creeks, flora and fauna, as well as the orchard and garden surrounding his home in Mendocino, Northern California. This photograph was produced in a limited edition of seven and was printed on archival Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl paper. The work floats museum style in a charcoal gray mat and is presented in a charcoal gray shadow-box frame using archival framing techniques.

Hand-picked by Serena & Lily from the Lost Art Salon Collection, a renowned San Francisco-based resource for original 20th century works. Founded by curators Rob Delamater and Gaetan Caron, Lost Art Salon is an obsessive collector’s dream come true, with a collection of more than 5,000 original works of modernist, vintage and antique art. We like to think of the Lost Art Salon pieces chosen for our online Bazaar as being “twice curated”, first by Rob and Gaetan, and then again by Serena & Lily.
