Summary of Role:
Serena and Lily is looking for an experienced full-time Web Designer to work on projects from start to finish in an incredibly dynamic environment. You will work closely with the our Senior Designer and Creative Directors to maintain existing web strategies and to develop new ones. We aim to create beautiful user experiences with captivating brand messages. You will conceptualize, develop and maintain compelling online experiences which are visually attractive, consistent and functional. Keep up with best practices online and offline & maintain knowledge of competitive sites, and other sites frequented by our customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work quickly without sacrificing quality in a deadline driven environment
- Collaborate with Senior Designer and Creative Directors, marketing team, merchants, and copywriters in the production of consistent and captivating brand messages on serenaandlily.com
- Stay on top of industry trends and share them with the team
- Desire to learn the needs of the business and influence what we do
- Must be able to concept and design both independently and cooperatively
Job Requirements:
- BFA or BA in Graphic Design
- 3-5 years experience working in a creative environment
- Compelling portfolio that demonstrates beautiful interactive experiences
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience/Understanding of ActionScript, HTML, and JQuery helpful
- Sophisticated sense of typography with an attention to detail
- Solid understanding of UX/UI design and web fundamentals
