Entitled "City Art 109" this 1970s photograph mounted to board is by New York/San Francisco photographer Roz Joseph (b. 1926). Inspired by the light and climate of the colorful city of San Francisco, Joseph began to examine with color photography the new subject of abstracted architecture and city scenes. These color architectural details became a series known as “City Art”. In 1991 Chronicle Books published a book of Roz Joseph’s architectural photography entitled “ Details: The Architect’s Art”. Framed in a contemporary wood frame using etched non-glare glass and archival matting.

Hand-picked by Serena & Lily from Lost Art Salon's Collection, a renowned San Francisco-based resource for original 20th century works of modernist, vintage, antique, and contemporary art. We like to think of the Lost Art Salon pieces chosen for our Serena & Lily Art Collection as being “twice curated”.
