Condition: Vintage.

This early-mid 20th century watercolor on paper scene is by important New York artist Jennings Tofel (1891-1959). Tofel was a friend of Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz. He received an art grant to work in Paris in the 1920s. His work is in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Framed is a restored vintage wood frame with thin distressed gold finish using archival matting behind conservation clear glass.
