This mid-late 20th century charcoal and ink on paper abstract is by French-American painter & designer Georgette London Owens (b. 1924. Owens studied at École des Beaux-Arts and with Cubist André Lhote in Paris. She exhibited at Musée D'Art Moderne & Salon des Indépendants in Paris, and at MOMA & several New York galleries. She was mentored by Salvador Dali and in 1988 formed the Alliance for Women Artists in Marin, CA. Framed in a black matte frame floating on white mat with spacers behind conservation clear glass.Hand-picked by Serena & Lily from Lost Art Salon's Collection, a renowned San Francisco-based resource for original 20th century works of modernist, vintage, antique, and contemporary art. We like to think of the Lost Art Salon pieces chosen for our Serena & Lily Art Collection as being “twice curated”.
