"Apricot" by Gaetan CaronShop All
Oil on canvas, mounted to wood, contemporary frame.
12" x 16"
Entitled "Apricots" this 2019 oil on canvas mounted to wood abstract is by contemporary Mendocino/Bay Area artist, Gaétan Caron (b. 1964), co-founder of Lost Art Salon in San Francisco. Gaétan also lives and works in his off-the-grid home located in an heirloom orchard in the Mendocino hills of Northern California, a stone's throw from the wild California Coast. His work documents the textures, colors, forms, as well as monochromatic shadows and reflections found in the natural world through contemporary abstract, botanical, still life, landscape, seascape, and portrait Fine Art photography. French speaking native of Québec, Canada, Gaétan returns back East regularly and also to Europe, especially France, for art inspiration and creativity. His favorite tropical island is the Big Island in Hawaii where Gaétan likes to go once a year in the winter to get his fill of fire, air, water and earth energy he recognizes as particularly powerful for his art. Framed in a contemporary wood frame in a black finish.
Hand-picked by Serena & Lily from Lost Art Salon's Collection, a renowned San Francisco-based resource for original 20th century works of modernist, vintage, antique, and contemporary art. We like to think of the Lost Art Salon pieces chosen for our Serena & Lily Art Collection as being “twice curated”."
