Associate Ecommerce Manager

Serena & Lily is seeking a strong Associate Ecommerce Manager to join our team. This position reports to the Ecommerce Manager and is based in Sausalito, California. The Assistant Ecommerce Manager is responsible for planning, executing, analyzing and optimizing the furniture categories of our business on the Serena & Lily ecommerce platform. The Associate Ecommerce Manager is responsible for ensuring the customer has the best experience in finding, designing and purchasing the items on the site. The The Associate Ecommerce Manager will be consistently shopping the site and focused on driving conversion, # of units per cart and demand. The role will work closer with cross-functional teams including: merchandising, planning, marketing, creative and IT. This is a perfect role for someone who combines a strong aesthetic sense with analytical skills, plus curiosity and a passion for continually improving our business and our customers’ experience. The role needs to build process and best practices while always looking for new opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

    • Ownership of the all furniture categories on the Serena & Lily website; responsible for the category’s sales and margin performance online
    • Manage category-specific site enhancements, including but not limited to: AB testing, user generated content integration, and UX optimizations
    • Manage brand (core, designer and retail) email development process and deployment via ESP platform
    • Report on category performance to steer future initiatives, engage customers, and drive sales
    • Organize ecommerce reports into actionable insights for weekly business reviews
    • Develop and execute the furniture division’s site merchandising strategy
    • Contribute to the development of seasonal launch plans for the division
    • Collaborate with the creative team on site design layouts, emails, images and site content
    • Communicate improvement opportunities and analytical findings to cross-functional teams
    • Contribute an understanding of market and consumer trends, competition, and ecommerce best practice
    • Troubleshoot site issues


    • Minimum of 2-4 years ecommerce, merchandising, or related experience
    • Passion for working at a design-driven brand. Home décor and/or lifestyle brand experience preferred
    • Experience with ecommerce platform and web reporting tools (Demandware, Netsuite, GoogleAnalytics) is a plus
    • An ability to work in both strategic and hands-on/detail oriented capacities
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable informationrecommendations
    • Ability to anticipate potential issues and provide creative solutions in a timely manner
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
    • Proficient in use of Excel, databases and Power Point
    • Track record of success in executing in a high-change, high-volume fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to think like a customer and put the customer’s their experience first
    • Strong sales driver and innovative thinkingthinker
    • Bachelor's degree required (preferred emphasis: Business/Marketing /Merchandising)
