Do you love creating beautiful living spaces? Are you considering a career in
design? For the Dream Dorm Design Challenge, we want you to put your ideas
into practice. Show us your creativity and design the room of your dreams!

The sky is the limit, however we are looking for a functional and cohesive space
so show us how you would bring your design to life! Along with the room look,
please include paint or fabric swatches (physical or digital), architectural
drawings or even a 3-D model if these apply. The winner of our Dream Dorm
Design Challenge will win $2000 to help pay for school fees
and supplies.

Looking for inspiration? Our luxury bedding looks are a great starting point as
you search for the best sheets or duvet covers to fit your dream design.

Will you create a bold and modern living space, a beachy oasis, or keep it
traditional? We can't wait for you to wow us with your submissions!

Submission Criteria

  • A complete physical or digital rendering of your dream dorm room is to be
    submitted, including textile swatches, spatial plans, and a color scheme if
  • Submit your name, major area of study, and the college you attend.
  • An outline of the inspiration behind your design (100 to 300 words).
  • Briefly tell us what your career plans are both immediately following and
    5 years after graduation (100 to 300 words).

Our panel of expert judges will be selecting the lucky winner based on which
dorm room design they believe to be the most creative and inspirational.

Challenge Entry Details

The competition will begin on Thursday, January 19, 2017 and will end on Friday,
March 31, 2017, with the lucky winner being announced on the Serena & Lily
Facebook page on Friday, April 7th 2017.

Contest Prize Details:

The winner will receive $2,000 to be put towards fees and books, to further your education and help you
work towards your dream career. The $2000 prize will be awarded in the form of a Visa gift card will be
sent to the confirmed winner. The Visa gift card will be sent via certified mail by 4/15/2017.

Serena & Lily's Dream Dorm Design Challenge is subject to federal regulations. Prizes valued over
$500 require the completion of IRS form W-9 for tax purposes.

To claim the prize, challenge winner(s) must contact after we reach
out to the winner that the judging panel selects. This winner must make arrangements to secure the prize(s)
within ten (10) days by providing a valid mailing address to which we may submit the
Visa gift card. No purchase or donation is necessary. Void where prohibited.

All decisions made by Serena & Lily with regards to the prize(s), the selection of prizewinners, and the
interpretation of these rules are final. Each entrant, by virtue of entering the challenge, agrees to
accept the decision of the Serena & Lily judging panel as final. Entrants must respond to the email
address provided at time of selection to win. Serena & Lily will notify the winning entrant by email
and by posting to the Serena & Lily Facebook page. Serena & Lily is not responsible for any mechanical
error, failure or omission, lost or misdirected mail, faxes or email, neglect on the part of the US Postal
Service, or email service disruption.

Serena & Lily reserves the right at any time to award the prize to another eligible entrant, drawn at
random, if the original prizewinner declines, is unavailable, fails to return a signed W-9 form to Serena
& Lily for a prize valued over $500 within ten (10) days of accepting the prize for any reason, or in any way cannot
make use of the prize or in the event that the original prizewinner does not meet eligibility
requirements. If a challenge winner fails to accept the prize for any reason, Serena & Lily will not
award a make-good prize or provide replacements for a forfeited prize.

Prizewinner(s) accept responsibility for all taxes, tips and other liabilities, including but not limited to
transportation, extended lodging and other affiliated costs that may not be included in the prize
package including taxes on unused travel prizes and retail gift cards. Once a prize has been issued, it
cannot be returned to Serena & Lily for the purpose of avoiding tax liability.

Prizes are not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash. By entering, participants agree to release,
discharge and hold harmless Serena & Lily, including all officers, directors, employees, volunteers and
sponsors from all liability, loss, damage or injury resulting from participation in the Serena & Lily
Dream Dorm Design Challenge. Serena & Lily, has sole discretion, to disqualify any person for
tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Serena & Lily website as well as any person in
violation of the rules. Failure to utilize prizes, including trips, does not negate winners from tax
obligations for prizes valued at $500 or more.

Serena & Lily reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the challenge, including the
substitution of a prize of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
Serena & Lily is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the
administration of the challenge or in the announcement of the prize.

By entering this competition, you are granting us (Serena & Lily Inc.) a non-exclusive perpetual license
to reproduce your images on and, in
our newsletters, and the Serena & Lily Instagram and direct mail catalogs.
