    Having practiced Emergency Medicine for over 25 years, Susan retired in 2017 and now paints full time. Her experiences caring for others in crisis were both difficult and exciting, filled with joy and despair, extreme contradictions that impact her artistic approach dramatically. Her intention is to reflect respite amid the chaos of life and imbue a powerful peace. She uses color and texture and perspective, and a scene beautifully cast in light and shadow to create imagery with a profound sense of serenity. Susan Kinsella lives and paints in Atlanta.

If necessary, oil and acrylic paintings can be cleaned with a damp cloth or by a professional art conserver. Works under glass can be cleaned using a glass cleaner, but avoid harsh chemicals when cleaning works under plexi to prevent surface damage.
