This late 20th century serigraph on paper abstract with a checkered print is by Northern California artist, poet, & playwright Gwen Stone (1913-2007). Stone has exhibited widely- at the CA Palace of the Legion of Honor, SF Museum (now SFMOMA), Oakland Museum, Richmond Art Center, Redding Museum, and San Jose Museum, among others. She is included in many private and corporate collections such as UC Berkeley and the National Museum of Women Artists. Stone was awarded the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 1990. Ed. 8/25. Signed, dated, and titled at bottom. Framed in a vintage wood frame with a white face floating on warm white archival matting behind clear conservation glass.

Hand-picked by Serena & Lily from Lost Art Salon's Collection, a renowned San Francisco-based resource for original 20th century works of modernist, vintage, antique, and contemporary art. We like to think of the Lost Art Salon pieces chosen for our Serena & Lily Art Collection as being “twice curated”.

If necessary, oil and acrylic paintings can be cleaned with a damp cloth or by a professional art conserver. Works under glass can be cleaned using a glass cleaner, but avoid harsh chemicals when cleaning works under plexi to prevent surface damage.
