Erica Kane Fink was born in Silver Spring, Maryland. She studied at the University of Virginia, and received her BFA with honors from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. Fink primarily works in gouache, watercolor and acrylic paint, exploring themes including habits, obsessions and the spaces we call home. With bold colors, expressive brush strokes and a deep commitment to patterns, she renders fantastical environments in which living takes place. Fink has had solo and group exhibitions in San Francisco, Oakland, Durham, Detroit, Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI. Her work resides in private collections throughout the United States, Europe, Dubai and Japan. She lives and works in Ypsilanti, MI.
