"Wild Days" by Erin RigneyShop All
Encaustic on Wood
46" x 20"
Origin: Carbondale, CO
A beach girl living in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, Erin Rigney’s coastal modern encaustic art explores the atmospheric designs in shells and the unsung beauty that washes up upon our shores. Encaustic is a centuries-old process of painting with oil paints mixed with melted beeswax and damar resin. Erin chose encaustic as the medium for her Shellscapes Collection because the various sheens produced via fusion lends itself to capturing the magic of nature’s divine creations. *Note encaustic is a natural medium and inherently may contain inclusions like air bubbles or particles in the wax surface.
